2025 4-H Chick Chain Show and Sale

Date: Saturday, November 8
Location: Wilson County Fairgrounds
Schedule:
Check-in: 8:30 a.m.
Show: 10:30 a.m.
Auction: 2 p.m.

The Chick Chain program is designed to allow 4-H members to learn how to not only care for and raise chickens, but it offers a taste of the poultry industry. Youth will learn about feedings, proper environment, health, predators, care, biosecurity, and other industry standards.

NC remains a top contributor in poultry production from pullets, broilers, and egg layers. The Chick Chain program allows youth to raise supplied chicks from 1-day old for 6-months. They will care for and work with these birds until the day of the show and auction. They will bring their best pullet/hen to the show and then have it up for auction. Money raised at the auction will then be used for college education tuition and/or future 4-H projects.

Registration closes on April 1, 2025. REGISTRATION LINK

There will be a $20 registration fee to sign up after you complete the online form. Participants MUST be currently enrolled in 4-H Online.
