While on a Horticultural Tour to the Netherlands this spring I had the pleasure of meeting Bram Tijmons (above), CEO and Co-Founder of PATS Indoor Drone Solutions. His company provides intelligent pest monitoring and control systems designed for greenhouses. On the simplest level, they use software that identifies and targets adult pests using cameras and scanners to automatically read sticky cards and detect insects before can spread. The most exciting part of what they have created is a system using scanners and drones in greenhouses to eliminate pests as soon as they are detected. The drones are deployed automatically by the system and attack the insects. Their detection technology can identify pests as early as 5 weeks before traditional scouting systems. Join me for this free 1 hour Zoom to learn about how you may be able to use the type of technology that Bram and his Team have created to take your pest detection and management into the future! This technology is currently in use in ornamental and vegetable production greenhouses in about 25 countries and has potential for application in outdoor nursery and other production as well. The Zoom meeting has been approved for 1 hour of NCDA&CS Pesticide Credits in categories I, L, N, O, D, and X. Participants will receive the Zoom link after registering and must have camera on during the Zoom so participation can be confirmed to receive pesticide credits. Prior to the Zoom you can check out the technology at Pats Drones.
